VideoSnooper - the video search engine in a network

For your Internet portal or for media research, you need a comprehensive video search machine which uses simple search concepts to find and play back previously broadcast TV programs.
Solution
With VideoSnooper, you record TV and radio stations of your choice. Metadata such as EPG, subtitles or editorial program comments are stored synchronously. Additionally, VideoSnooper can be equipped with “speech to text“ modules which store spoken texts as continuous text synchronous to TV or radio transmissions, e.g. in the absence of subtitles.
By entering key words, you can search specific or all available stations for relevant broadcast programs. The results are listed - the videos can be played back immediately by a click of the mouse.
Simultaneously, subtitles (closed captions) or “speech to text” generated subtitles are blended in directly beneath the video image in the player. (see picture below)
VideoSnooper can simultaneously record hundreds of TV and radio stations and scan metadata.
Special features
- Easy integration into IPTV offers
- Based on Windows Media. Access via standard browsers without plug-ins
- Video data conversion into other formats such as 3G or MPEG-4 is also possible
- Can be combined with other data banks
Implementation
Implementation of the application takes place through the XAS application server. The server contains all the modules needed to implement an individual streaming media/IPTV solution for several hundred parallel streams in an intranet or on the Internet. For the setup of highly frequented Internet platforms, we recommend utilizing X-Media servers or the integration of XAS into an existing broadband media network with allocated streaming media and cashing servers and load balancing systems. Artec technologies inc has direct access to Europe's largest content delivery network and offers you run-ready solutions - also in the form of hosted applications in our MDSC (media data and service center) in Dresden.
