On your IPTV platform, you need a PVR (personal video recorder) for individual recording and playback of television programs via the Internet.

Solution

With the TimeShifter PVR, you have a run-ready system at your disposal which provides your customers with a variety of TV and radio stations. They can then record the programs (together with their EPG data) of those stations or manually program them through remote control. Program selection and storage capacity can be individually configured for each user depending on their subscription. Programming as well as recording can be controlled via PC, set-top boxes or mobile phones.

Implementation

Implementation of the application takes place through the XAS application server. The server contains all the modules needed to implement an individual streaming media/IPTV solution for several hundred parallel streams in an intranet or on the Internet. For the setup of highly frequented Internet platforms, we recommend utilizing X-Media servers or the integration of XAS into an existing broadband media network with allocated streaming media and cashing servers and load balancing systems.
